HSPに響く曲

先日、出席したHSP交流会後の昼食会で聞いたのですが、参加者6名のうち5名がお酒が好きだと言っていました。HSPは極度に前頭葉（＝理性）が発達した人たちだと思うので、それを麻痺させるのも好きなのかもしれません。HSPの人の嗜好などもいろいろヒアリングすると、新たな発見があるかもしれません。

自分は少し悲しみ中毒なところがあるかもしれません。子供の頃から好きだった曲を思い出してみると、どれも悲しい感じの曲なのです。

恋に落ちて　小林明子　1985

ゆっくりとしたトーンで、会いたい恋人に会えない悲しい自分を歌った曲です。当時はまだ小学校高学年だったと思いますが、この曲が心に深く残っています。このような悲しみは辛いような反面、心地よさを感じていました。悲しみの際に分泌される脳内の麻薬作用のようなものの中毒症状だったのかもしれません。

待つわ　あみん　1983

歌詞から切なさが溢れ出ている曲です。今聴くと、救いが無いくらい悲しみが詰め込まれています。曲のトーンは、そんな悲しみを優しく包み込むような感じがします。二人のハモりも、さらにノスタルジックな雰囲気を醸し出しています。涙が目に滲むような中にも、心地よさが染み渡る曲です。

浪漫飛行　米米CLUB　1990

今聴いてもまったく色褪せることのない名曲だと思います。自分の中では一番好きな曲で、恐らく走馬灯の最中に流れている曲だと思います。この曲は先の2曲のように悲しいトーンではありませんが、飛び抜けた青空をイメージさせる爽快さが、逆に心への心地よい空虚さをもたらしてくれます。新しい世界に飛び出すときのワクワクをここまで表現できた曲はないのではないでしょうか。この曲は中学生くらいの時の曲でしたが、まさに人生楽しいことしか想像できなかった、もっとも人生が美しく輝いていた時の曲です。以下はつい最近オールスター合唱バトルで歌われた曲ですが、今でも全く古さを感じさせず本当にかっこいいです。

夢の途中　来生たかお　1981

セーラー服と機関銃のイメージも曲にあっています。この曲は曲調が本当に悲しみに満ちています。美しい曲だと思います。胸中の歌詞が「～したいけど…」というものが多く、刹那的な幸せがかえって寂しさを増幅させる、そんな深まる悲しみを感じます。曲中に出てくる光り輝くあなたと、悲しみに満ちた僕との対比が曲の中で何度も現れ、人生の悲しみを表現しています。

Songs That Resonate with Highly Sensitive People

I recently heard at a lunch gathering after an HSP meet-up that 5 out of 6 participants enjoyed drinking alcohol. Considering that HSPs have highly developed prefrontal cortices, they might enjoy numbing their minds.

It might be interesting to hear more about the preferences of other HSPs. I think I might be a bit of a sadness addict. When I think back on the songs I loved as a child, they were all quite sad.

1. Koi ni Ochite by Akiko Kobayashi (1985) This song, with its slow tempo, is about the sadness of not being able to see the person you love. Even though I was just in elementary school at the time, this song left a deep impression on me. While this kind of sadness was painful, it was also comforting in a way. Perhaps it was an addiction to the kind of endorphin rush that comes with sadness.
2. Matsuwa by Amin (1983) The lyrics of this song are overflowing with longing. Listening to it now, it feels like there’s nothing but sadness. The tone of the song is as if gently wrapping up that sadness. The harmony between the two singers creates an even more nostalgic atmosphere. It’s a song that makes tears well up in your eyes but also fills you with a sense of comfort.
3. Romantic Flight by Rice Rice Club (1990) Even now, I think this is a timeless masterpiece. It’s my favorite song, and I probably hear it in my mind when I’m on my deathbed. Unlike the previous two songs, this one doesn’t have a sad tone, but the refreshing feeling of imagining a clear blue sky gives me a sense of comforting emptiness. I don’t think there’s any other song that can express the excitement of embarking on a new journey as well as this one. I was probably around middle school when this song came out, and it was a time when I could only imagine happy things in life. It was the most beautiful time of my life. Here’s a more recent performance of this song at an all-star singing battle. It’s still so cool.
4. Yume no Tochū by Takao Kisugi (1981) The image of a schoolgirl with a machine gun also suits the song. The melody of this song is truly filled with sadness. It’s a beautiful song. Many of the lyrics express the inner feelings of wanting something but not being able to, and the fleeting happiness only amplifies the loneliness. The contrast between the shining “you” and the sorrowful “I” that appears repeatedly in the song expresses the sadness of life.
